Sustainability

Our commitment to Sustainability

We believe that contributing to environmental and social sustainability is extremely important in order to realize our vision of “enrich the lives of people all over the world with auxiliary materials”. As a company involved in the fashion industry, which is often said to have an extremely large impact on global CO2 output, we will fulfill our corporate social responsibility (CSR) by the following initiatives.

01. Reduce the Waste

Of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) necessary for an environmentally friendly recycling-oriented economic system, “Reduce” means to avoid buying too much items in order to reduce waste as much as possible, and to use products longer once purchased. We will contribute to our customers opportunities to “use good things carefully for a long time” by actively proposing truly good and high quality materials to ethical fashion and slow fashion brands.

02. Eco-Friendly

The term “low environmental impact” has a variety of connotations. Not only the materials made from recycled plastic, we will provide our customers with a wide variety of products and technologies, including wood yarn made from thinned wood, biomass plastic made from corn and sugarcane, and organic-dyed products that have less concern about water pollution.

03. Supply Chain Traceability

We are living in an age where traceability of materials and products matters. In order to prove that our goods are truly made from safe and reliable raw materials and production processes, we procure products only from manufacturers that we can trust in every aspect. In addition, by acquiring GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification*, we will contribute to ensuring traceability throughout the supply chain.

* Global Recycled Standard (GRS) set the criteria for third-party certification of recycled materials and chain of custody. The GRS includes a higher (50%) minimum recycled content percentage and additional social and environmental requirements related to processing and chemical use.

04. Empower Women

It is essential for not only our company but also the society as a whole to promote the empowerment of women. Approximately 50% of our staff are women. In addition to our maternity and paternity leave system, we have introduced flexible work styles, such as shorter working hours for childcare.
